Ornithuromorpha sind eine systematische Gruppe von Vögeln innerhalb der Ornithothoraces. Sie enthält neben einer Vielzahl ausschließlich mesozoischer Formen alle Vertreter der Modernen Vögel. In der Systematik neben ihnen stehen die Enantiornithes. Als ältester bekannter Vertreter der Ornithuromorpha gilt Archaeornithura meemannae aus der Unterkreide Chinas.cite-ref-wang-zheng-oconnor-et-al-2015-1-0[1]
